Scotty, J&R is selling the Casio Z120 for 219.00
http://www.jr.com/JRProductPage.process?Product=4056143 This camera has a real finder, very good focusing, some manual settings, a good movie mode and so on. I know you want to spend a few bucks less, but this unit will probably be worth a few extra dollars. I paid 300 for mine and even at that price, it's quite worth it. It's also small, yet easy to handle for my big hands. The only thing I don't like is the anti-shake mode which it achieves by boosting ISO, but you can turn that off. Focus is really the only limit to shutter lag which is very slight. This camera also uses regular AA rechargeables....no special battery. Some shots with the Z120: http://members.aol.com/bobsprit/images/friday.jpg http://members.aol.com/bobsprit/images/momwheelweby.jpg And this is more than a 100% crop of an image showing fairly good sharpness for such a small optical set. http://members.aol.com/bobsprit/imag...esailorweb.jpg More on the Z120 he http://www.steves-digicams.com/2005_...s/ex-z120.html RB |

Yeah, I saw that. I like the 120. What do you think of the
'factory refurb' units, as sold on e-bay? I only have $175 in bank right now and won't get another SS check till next Thursday. Scotty "Capt. Rob" wrote in message oups.com.. .. Hey, don't you drive a truck for bucks? Seriously...for 45 bucks it's worth waiting and getting it new. Refurbs can still have problems, especially for a complex item like the Z120. RB |

The Fuji 5th Generation Super CCD technology is far superior to whatever
Nikon shoves in their camera. Lower noise, higher resolution are just some of the benefits. The technology is available over the entire range of Fuji cameras. Remember, in the past Nikon camera operators were sticking Fuji film in their cameras. It's all in the image quality and Fuji has been the world leader for decades. |

Fuji's S3 pro is a good camera, but is too slow in RAW mode for most professionals. It found a niche in portrait work due to superior dynamic range. Due to awful customer support, Nikon is still the choice by professionals over Fuji though. RB 35s5 NY |

Got my new camera today. It's way more camera than what I
need. I have a lot of figuring out to do. Like, what's an ISO? Here's a pic, right out of the box, of my favorite model. http://community.webshots.com/user/sbvernon Scotty |
