Oh no... it's totally polluted .... despite what they claim about tidal flushing action... Halifax Harbour is sewage lagoon. Tidal flushing action in your area is quite weak compared to the peak 4 knot currents of the LIS, and higher at other depths. Meanwhile, your coastal area is a straight washup like any other and not clean. The LIS waters are among the cleanest swimming waters around, which is part of the reason why we have a much larger boating community and history than you. RB 35s5 NY |
