We had some very bad accidents on the LIS last season due to drunk boat
operators. In fact they were the ONLY accidents I heard about that
caused both injury and death.

But it is not illegal! In Wyoming and Montana you can drink and drive as
long as you are not drunk. In fact you can drink and drive in all states in
your blood alcohol is below the limit.

Good reason to avoid those states. Two beers and you're over the limit
in most cases.

That's due to a medical condition, not a moral decision.

Wrong again, I stopped drinking when a close friend nearly died from
it. I was 31 at the time and was not as yet diagnosed with any illness.

I've been in remission since Thomas came into my life. In fact there is
no sign that I was ever sick. Roughy 5% of colitis sufferers experience
such remissions and sometimes the symptoms never return. My fingers are
crossed.

Most rum in the early days was used to treat the water to prolong life
at the time. Sailors received rum rations for health reasons

Check out the history of Gin & Tonic with a twist of lime.

Gin and Tonics were -like Gin itself- originally developed as a
medicine. In this case to help fight malaria. When the British Sailors
and ships were in the East they became susceptible to malaria and
eventually found out that quinine (an ingredient in Tonic Water) was
useful for getting rid of the disease. Well, as you would probably
expect, drinking Tonic Water by itself is pretty nasty (unless you've
acquired a taste for it) and they had problems getting the British in
the East to drink it.

Along comes our friend Gin to be mixed with the Tonic Water, which not
only made drinking it much more pleasant, but also created an excellent
drink that would be remembered from then on, even if its relationship
to the disease was forgotten. So, as you can see, Gin and Tonic Water
came about due to medicinal reasons, then caught on later for thier
more pleasurable aspects.

On a minor note, the Lime (served in any GOOD Gin and Tonic) being a
citrus fruit (and therefore containing Vitamin C) helps to prevent
scurvy. Usually the limes are not the dominant ingredient of Gin and
Tonic, so they won't actually get rid of scurvy if you've already got
it - unless you drink A LOT of Gin and Tonics of course.

Do you think that is why his Father & Mother moved away from him and
left him in NYC? He was to much to take?
His Dad left him to the ASA. More people to help. Well, he does have his
Imaginary Friends but they aren't that he thinks are helping him.

He is just a lonely Soul with make believe friends, with make believe
deeds and keeps his own score, his own make believe way.

He has a telescope (so he claims) so that he can Howl at the Moon. He
calls that a Victory (with his score keeping)

A Soul to be sad for. I won't ridicule him any more. He's had enough.
He's much to easy to put down. He creates the ammo to be used against
himself.
