Default On the Hans Horrevoets incident.

Hi, guys,

I don't really disagree with you. We're dissecting an event in
hindsight, which is always, by definition, perfect, unlike when we're
in media res just trying to make it through another day. I'll grant ya
that.

That is certainly true.

I switched from sailing harnesses to mountaineering harnesses in the
early 80s. I find my mountaineering harness comfortable enuf to wear
constantly, even while sleeping.

I will have to try one. It may be that the harness itself is
not the chief source of discomfort.

... Also, like rigging, jacklines, etc.,
harnesses wear out; so I replace mine about twice a decade.

Again, certainly true.

But, when push comes to shove, yeah, **** happens. Generally speaking,
however, I'd really prefer to minimize my ration of ****.

Life is like a **** sandwich. The more bread you have, the
less **** you eat.
