Has it occurred to anyone that there may be something amiss in the values
of
one who defines himself entirely by his possessions? And that by trashing
the possessions you are implicitly accepting that same set of values?

That's how RB wins. They always affirm the premise.

Nah. We just trash Bubbles. It's a game.

I wonder what would happen if when such a new possession is announced,
people said, wow that's great.

Oh yeah, that would be one hell of a lot of fun. :-(

So what. Tell him what he wants to hear, he'll get bored eventually and go
away.

Think about that for a moment. If Bubbles departed, what would be left of
this NG?

Judging from the fact that you bought a Kia, I guess you would.

I've just gotta laugh at the way so many posters get caught up in bobsprit's
silly games. He jumps up bragging about some new possession and immediately
a whole raft of people start trashing that possession.

Quite right. Both my vehicles are years old and still work fine. I have
better things to do with my disposable income than buy new cars that at
the end of the day won't do more than my existing ones do. When one
dies, I'll look for a replacement.

I think the trashing about would be pretty funny.

Good point OZ, but it's hard to find a good putz, and when they come
here they are so thinned skin they jump ship. It seems ever ship and
boat with a crew larger than 5 always has a putz, jona, jinx, danger,
ect..ect.. Robert seems to be a natural here, onboard ship I'm sure he
would be the focus of a blanket party, or lost at sea in no time. This
place is perfect for him to flourish in his ability's.

We'd need to find another putz.

Are you volunteering? g
