Anyone know?
On the trailor with red wheels.

It's an RS 300
http://www.rssailing.com/fleets.asp?fleet=RS300

Very few RS boats in the US unfortunately, the closest thing
to it here would probably be a Raider which is bigger & heavier.

I like this one myself, if there were a class on the East
Coast I'd get one in a heartbeat

Thanks Doug, I figured you would know.

Did you see the Hoot?

I think thats going to be what I buy. Do not have the time to build a
Swift solo. They still have a few kinks, but hopefully they will start
shipping boats soon.

Actually, I didn't know right off the top of my head, it
looks like a previous generation Moth. But I had a good
idea... at one point I was looking into importing RS boats
as a way of jump-starting US sailing with skiffs.

BTW there is a similar US made boat, a bit heavier & slower
but also bigger & roomier, called a Raider.

I did not, regretfully. They were going to have a public
demo day and I would have loved to see & sail it, but was
leaving SanFran the day before.

A Swft Solo or a Hoot? If I spot a Swift for sale I will
probably buy it. It's a much better boat than the 29er.

You can not find a swift for sale...I haven't. You can buy kits
ect...but it seems the builders are keeping the boats they build. Who
can blame them?

The Hoot has flexing problems in the wing supports.
Thats a real issue to me since I'm right at the weight limit of
200lbs.

I'l check into the raiders.
