Thanks Doug, I figured you would know. Actually, I didn't know right off the top of my head, it looks like a previous generation Moth. But I had a good idea... at one point I was looking into importing RS boats as a way of jump-starting US sailing with skiffs. BTW there is a similar US made boat, a bit heavier & slower but also bigger & roomier, called a Raider. Did you see the Hoot? http://www.gohoot.com/ I did not, regretfully. They were going to have a public demo day and I would have loved to see & sail it, but was leaving SanFran the day before. I think thats going to be what I buy. Do not have the time to build a Swift solo. They still have a few kinks, but hopefully they will start shipping boats soon. A Swft Solo or a Hoot? If I spot a Swift for sale I will probably buy it. It's a much better boat than the 29er. Fresh Breezes- Doug King |

You can not find a swift for sale...I haven't. You can buy kits
ect...but it seems the builders are keeping the boats they build. Who can blame them? The Hoot has flexing problems in the wing supports. Thats a real issue to me since I'm right at the weight limit of 200lbs. I'l check into the raiders. Joe |
