and watch the Bay Area economy collapse.

Sounds close to right. There's very little reason for the urban assault
vehicles, especially in cities.

If you think people cried "foul" when the Patriot Act was passed, wait until
you tell them they can't drive their monster trucks and SUVs into the
cities.

I agree 200%. IMO NO private autos should be allowed inside of major cities.
Moreover, anyone born in a major city, or who has live in one continiously for
more than two years, should never be allowed to leave, except to go to another
large city via public transportation such as rail. Such cities should be wholly
self supporting with no public funds from outside each city and each should
dispose of its own waste within city limits (no outside dumping).

How about 18 Wheelers, Air Freight & air mail, Military air patrols,
Harbor patrols, border patrols? How about tripling Bridge fares?
Parking fares? School busing? Let's get the Cops back on there feet?
Trolley? How about going to Oars for Auxiliary Power, Outlaw Power
Boating.
Home Heating with wood or coal or even electric.

We have a lot of ways to change our society to do without oil. I'm
almost 80 years old and don't give a damn:^) It up to you youn'uns.
