Actually, it's mostly a lot of noise with the express purpose of funding
Bob's own agrandizement as a troll. I have nothing against Bob in
particular, but it's just not worth reading, as it's never ending and mostly
boring. The threads Bob starts are mostly about himself, how he's superior
to everyone else in every way. For threads that he doesn't start, his major
contributions are to put someone else down, which is fuel for other trolls
and sick individuals. It's rare that he actually has something interesting
to say about sailing. I've been reading them for years. No more.

Am I happy with my set-up YES! Is Nutsy happy with his Yes! Could I use
his set-up effectively? I don't think so. Can Nutsy use his set-up
effectively--- Good Question? Jury is still out.

To Each his own. I'm sure we're both happy. I am glad I can use his
expert knowledge ( Which I don't have) to my advantage.

Now that said; Camera and Equip. be Damned. Weather out here in the NW
is just about perfect. It's sailing weather. GO SAILING if you can

There are all kinds of off road applications out there and the Outback
is used in plenty. It's one of the top cars around in PA for example
where many homes are set in unpaved areas and outselling all other cars
there and only trailing pickup trucks in sales.
The undercarriage transmission cover is not just for rocks and you
could find almost the same thing on the original and amazing Toyota
Landcruiser.

The Landcruiser had 1/8" steel skid plates. I pulled them because they kept
bending into the driveshaft. The transmission did not have a skid plate,
except for a little bendy thing. My trusty LC went up both the Como Lake
Road (Colorado's worse!) and Elephant Hill (Utah's worse) at night!

It is a truly amazing Landcruiser!
