![]() A vietnam vet said it best. " I have no regrets concerning our involvement in Iraq. I would rather, MUCH rather, get the terrorists in thier own neighborhoods than coming through my kitchen door. I don't think the media is doing a good job of telling us what is really happening in Iraq. They show us a crowd of a 100 people that are ****ed about something, but they never show us the 900 people that are tickled to death that we have set them free. I don't think that we should be there any longer than needed, but "longer than needed" is a rather subjective term. How long should it take to "impose" freedom on a suppressed population? Do we really "impose" freedom, or do we stay long enough to help the freedom to take root? Should we help freedom to take root, or should we flee at the first sign of opposition? Should we protect ourselves and spread freedom around the globe, or should we allow tyrannical dictators to rule with fear and oppression? Should we sit silently when we are outragiously attacked, or should we stand up for our own rights and way of life? If you think that your way of life is not worth standing up for, then maybe you should move to another country. Personally, I am going to defend my way of life, even if that means that I will be sending my own kids and my neighbor's kids into the line of fire. I have stood in that line, so I know what I am talking about. My leaders are doing the right thing, despite what the naysayers have to say." Amen Joe |

I would rather, MUCH rather, get the terrorists in thier own neighborhoods than coming through my kitchen door. Then why stop at Iraq? I don't think the media is doing a good job of telling us what is really happening in Iraq. They show us a crowd of a 100 people that are ****ed about something, but they never show us the 900 people that are tickled to death that we have set them free. What does this have to do with terrorism? If 90% are free, job done - let's leave. I don't think that we should be there any longer than needed, but "longer than needed" is a rather subjective term. So is terrorist. How long should it take to "impose" freedom on a suppressed population? Force them to be free! Do we really "impose" freedom, or do we stay long enough to help the freedom to take root? At least 2 generations then. Should we help freedom to take root, or should we flee at the first sign of opposition? Bay of Pigs? Or should we get lots of our guys killed and then flee? Should we protect ourselves and spread freedom around the globe, or should we allow tyrannical dictators to rule with fear and oppression? Our elected leaders rule with fear and oppression. Korea has a tyrant that has threatened to nuke the US. Why don't we attack? We've been in Korea for almost 55 years. How long will we be in Iraq? Should we sit silently when we are outragiously attacked, or should we stand up for our own rights and way of life? Enforce the Constitution! If you think that your way of life is not worth standing up for, then maybe you should move to another country. Personally, I am going to defend my way of life, Even if it means dumping Bush? even if that means that I will be sending my own kids and my neighbor's kids into the line of fire. Do the kids have a choice? Or are they forced to go? I have stood in that line, so I know what I am talking about. My leaders are doing the right thing, Bush Bush or Cheney has not stood in that line, so by inference they don't know what they're talking about. Those protesting Generals stood in that line for decades, they must know what they're talking about! despite what the naysayers have to say." despite: in spite of, with malice towards. An appeal to pity, emotion, authority and full of illogical platitudes. All the justification we need to spend big, invade and kill! Lloyd Amen Joe |

A vietnam vet said it best. He's a victim of Bush's propaganda. " I have no regrets concerning our involvement in Iraq. I would rather, MUCH rather, get the terrorists in thier own neighborhoods than coming through my kitchen door. Saddam had zip to do with 9/11. In fact he was the strongest bulwark against the jahidists who did in the middle east. Toppling him is the equivalent of having suddenly attacked Stalin whilst trying to get ready for the Normandy invasion in WW2. Fact is we did the real anti-US terrorists a big favor by invading Iraq. I don't think the media is doing a good job of telling us what is really happening in Iraq. They show us a crowd of a 100 people that are ****ed about something, but they never show us the 900 people that are tickled to death that we have set them free..... Sure, free to join Iran and other radical Shiite radicals in their drive to impose a Taliban-like government on the world. How long should it take to "impose" freedom on a suppressed population? Please understand that these people dispise what we call "freedom". They don't want it and they don't want anybody else to have it. They believe Allah made the law (Sharia) and the government should enforce it. Should we help freedom to take root, .... We would have to utterly destroy Islam to do that because Islam is the very opposite of freedom. Muslims don't believe in free choice, they believe that everybody must be governed by Islamic law. Should we sit silently when we are outragiously attacked, No! But we should punish the ones who attacked us, not Saddam! Guess what - bin Ladin and company are still free and planning their next attacks! Why? Because Blundering Bush diverted our military and intel resources to attack his personal enemy and to find non-existant WMDs to justify his blunder. Worse yet, he didn't provide enough troops to secure Saddam's weapons dumps so, in effect, he handed them over to the real enemy - the enemy that perp'd 9/11 - and that enemy is using those weapons to kill our kids right now. Jeeze, what if some American had supplied Ho Chi Min with tons and tons of weapons and explosives that Ho subsequently used to kill 1000s of Americans - would you call that man a traitor?? I would. And yet that is exactly what Bush has done regarding the terrorists who perpetrated 9/11 and more. He toppled the 3rd biggest army in the world and left all its material to be picked up by these terrorists and used to kill our sons and daughters. Hanoi Jane did nothing that bad yet many Americans, including me, deem her a traitor. should we stand up for our own rights and way of life? How did toppling Saddam do that? How did handing Saddam's military equipment to al Qaida do that? How is turning Iraq into another Iran doing that?? Personally, I am going to defend my way of life, even if that means that I will be sending my own kids and my neighbor's kids into the line of fire. Then you should be doing your best to remove Bush from office then try him for treason - and to bring our military and intel resources to bear on the jahidists who perp'd 9/11 and are our real enemies!! |
