The statement is absolutely correct. A plowed street can be worse than
unplowed, especially if there is packed ice underneath. I have to agree with RB. Amen! "Scotty" wrote in message ... "And if you knew anything about driving you might know that a plowed street can be worse than unplowed." |

Now Bob.... don't bait Bobsprit like that. We both know that if there is ice under a snowfall... it's an Ice Road.... and the three requirements are to be able to make progress, to be able to direct progress and to be able to halt progress. Certainly if your "SUV" has a 12" clearance and you drive into 24" of snow.... stopping will not be an issue..... progress and direction will come to an abrupt halt. If the same vehicle encounters a low traction area... a simple reduction of speed will allow all three factors to be retained and safely make directed progress CM |

And then Scotty bit your tail and both of you were hauled aboard. Read my original statement again. Bottom line: A plowed road can be worse than 9 inches of snow, especially for an SUV. RB 35s5 NY |

Not so fast there Bobsprit..... here's what you said.." And if you knew anything about driving you might know that a plowed street can be worse than unplowed." Your option on an unplowed street is coming to a stop.... that's not driving Bobsprit.. that's *parking*..... now if you had even a modicum of knowledge in vehicle control on snow and ice.... you never would have made that statement. driving Bobsprit.. that's *parking*..... No, it's not parking. It's also slowing down, which is part of driving. You're not just on the hook, you've eaten the rod. Give it up. You're getting desperate and everyone can tell. RB 35s5 NY |

GOOD GRIEF......... are you slow off the mark or is this subject
beyond your comprehension skills? Dude, you just said "stopping is parking." End of the road for you. Desperate is putting it in a friendly way so you can just slink away. You lost...again. RB 35s5 NY |

Rob" wrote in message oups.com.. .. Wow, a real explorer you are, driving on the plowed streets of NYC. Nothing was plowed in Kew Gardens this morning and only part of Forest Hills. And if you knew anything about driving you might know that a plowed street can be worse than unplowed. Of course you don't know and you have a Kia!!! RB 35s5 NY |
