We'll meet at Last!!!!
Is your water frozen in your dock now?
Big bergs in the LIS? That's gotta be why your not sailing right? Your not scared of cold water are you? We are having crisp clear skies and brisk winter breezes here. Took the LaBrisa out for lunch today, 15kt SW slight chop crystal clear skies 69 degrees. Don't be mad I outed you as the Commode, or I drive up there and give ya a sandwich. You know where Time Square is? Joe |

What about using a bubbler system?
Long Island does not freeze that hard, especially the Sound. "Capt. Rob" wrote in message oups.com... But the whole harbor is frozen solid right? I don't sail in a harbor, Joe. The LIS has been known to freeze and last season the entire dock area was solid. Few folks risk it. You must have gotten the same geography lessons as Katy. Oh, and you're also a royal asshole! Bwahahahahahahaha! Poor Joe! RB 35s5 NY |

I'm real but only post occasionaly because I have a Banshee 13 and it doesn't have a jib or head or cabin or even a swin platform. Makes it hard to contribute. :o) Mark E. Williams |

I used to walk around on parts of the Sound, especially in Rowayton, as a kid. The boy Jesus? A lot of marinas are on rivers that freeze as well. A bubbler will prevent damage at the dock, but has nothing to do with whether or not you can get down a channel, and out to the rest of the Sound. Use long bubbler lines. I have a crappy old Blue Jay on a trailer that I take out occasionally during warmer periods in the winter. I have no idea why you think that ice that isn't "that hard" would not be an impediment to sailing. Reread what I said. The LIS does not freeze that hard. In fact, the Coast Guard uses 65 foot icebreakers that are limited to 12 inches of ice. Remember these 65 footers go up canals where the big breakers can't. The frost line on Long Island is 18 inches! Now that's aenemic! Amen! |

Glad you noticed big boy! Notice the bunched up
shorts...Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Will you save me Bob, Rob's a heathen and refuses to see God and Jesus are real. He will not let me go to church...will you pray with me Bob? Can I confess to you? SB 35s5 NY |

"Joe" wrote in message ups.com... Capt. Neal's Joe LOL! Katy, Mr. Sails, and Chopper, the white standard poodle, are quite genuine, and have sailed with us on our boat. Well, okay, Chopper didn't, even though he was invited. They've also slipped on our dock for many seasons, save the last one or two, when they moved to a different port. Now they've moved to a place I plan to live someday, and no doubt we'll spend time with all three of them again. Neal isn't original enough to create a sockpuppet as unique at Katy. By the way, Katy, we just bought another poodle--a 12 week old black toy. Had to drive to Minnesota to get her. Max |
