It's the Artic. It has little or no value.
Anyone that wants to live there, or even start their own country there has to a right to it. "Joe" wrote The NW passage is international waters, we will use it as we see fit. Don't like it? "It has been speculated that Canada will one day out-produce Saudi Arabia
once new fields are discovered in the Arctic." Say hello to your new Arctic Sheiks...... we'll own your ass in a decade! CM "Joe" wrote in message oups.com... not according to Canada http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main...8/ixworld.html |

The American ambassador, David Wilkins, emphasised when he spoke that
he was merely reiterating a longstanding policy on the Arctic. "Our position is very consistent. We agree to disagree. We don't recognise Canada's claims to the waters. If oil is discovered in the Artic, we have just as much right to it as you do. Thats the point. We like oil BTW. The liquid type, not that hard to get sandy crap you guys a pawning off on the Chinese Joe |

Naw they wouldn't...... they have cable, satellite, free houses, free medical, free education, no taxes, choice government jobs, welfare, a new boat every 2 years and a new snowmobile every year. Americans are the loud mouth obnoxious people they have to baby-sit on "Trophy Hunts" & "Fishing Camps". The NWT Passage falls straight within the Territory of NWT and Nunavut. Canadian Territory!!!. You want your oil companies in there... pony up the permit costs and taxes. CM |

The Inuit total 45,070 people, half of which live in Nunavut.
Nunivut is so empty, they would welcome any new faces. Trust me. You can go up there and build a house anywhere you want and the land is yours. Much of Alaska is the same way.
