Well, duh. That was a rhetorical question?
Simplest explanation, at some point, most clubs post their results online. And considering that the boat is new to us and we're not experienced racers, what exactly would those results indicate? If we won, you'd all claim the other boats were badly sailed. If we lost you'd all claim we should be doing better. Sailing side by side with many of our local friends on their boats, we'll see just how fast the 35s5 is. The only boat at our club that will be faster is a C&C 34XL with a 7 foot draft...a great boat. I expect my friend's Sweden 39 to be faster of course. Most others will be slower and less fun...believe me, we know! We set a record for sailing different boats last summer. RB 35s5 NY |
