Default I got up this mornin'....

.... and I knew it was butchering day.

Tally so far is 3 Roosters, bled, plucked and gutted. They'll be marinated
and on the BBQ tonite.

....and one Bobsprit, hooked , landed and I was going to fillet him, but
decided I had enough. So... back in the water he went. :-)

Yesterday I put up one of those Tarp Garages out back to allow me to place
the saws etc..... to do some work on the house renos. The building was
easy... but the floor was a bit of a hassle. I think I might use it as a
boat shelter for next season instead or tarping.

The bubbles fish is a bottom feeder, fatty, usually covered with abnormal
growths, not even good enough looking to mount. Just my 2 cents.

Sort of like carp...you cook them on a shingle then throw out the
carp and eat the shingle...

Oh Jeez... don't be like that Bart. Bob's an okay guy..... he just needs a
challenge to exercise what he believes is his wit. Generally he holds his
own extremely well and single handedly engages attack upon attack with
diligence.

We all have to have a "Bad Guy"... it's not an easy job. Look at CJ ...
totally incapable of defending himself without resorting to cowardly and
distasteful methods. Bob is out there.... he's not hiding. He's like the
"USA" of Bad Guys... and you're acting like a "Canadian".

I truly enjoy engaging Bobsprit. He taxes my wit and gives me pause to
remember my humour. The important thing in life ... is not to take yourself
too seriously.

That be said... I handed him a Severe Thrashing this morning!! It was so
much fun it put me in a good mood all day! :-)

Thanks Bobsprit!

...and Ganz.. I know you're reading this... and you're GAY!

See what I mean Mooron... you're stalking me... I don't even have to be
involved in a thread and you absolutely have to spew your vile bs. You're a
very angry person, and I think people besides me are pretty sick of it. You
need to get help.

You don't let them hang for awhile to age??? Is that why you
marinate, so they won't be tough?
My turkeys dressed out hen/22 lbs, Tom/28lbs. We had Tom for
Christmas...he was excellent...
jad to make stew out of Rasputin, the lead rooster, though, since he
was so athletic his muscles never unbunched....

Yes.... I'm not a proponent of aging unless I'm certain of the temps the
meat is subjected to. These are year old roosters.... not much for meat but
I won't cull without a purpose.

My pet Royal Palm Turkey is hand tame and about 15lbs now.

Try a marinade......

As long as it's below 45F you're safe

Ours were hand tamed and pets, too. Until we ate them.

He's already been done and gone...nothing left to marinade....the 5
that I had caged, though, were nice and tender....they would
actually chortle when I fed them towards the end...greedy little
buzzards....
