TIM vs THD:
http://www.websmith.co.za/vt/amp.html How your own ear generates TIM: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/q...&dopt=Abstract Even though this says zero global feedback eliminates TIM: http://www.hometheaterhifi.com/volum...04-part-2.html It's not true by itself! In addition, the power supply frequency response should be at least five times that of the audio chain. That's very difficult with low voltage supplies. In fact, in a real audio system the power supply costs twice as much as the audio chain. Can your audio power supply go from 0 to 500 watts peak in 50 usec with no overshoot, undershoot or ringing? Amen! |
