![]() Imagination and spirit can be found in sailing boats...both old and new. Some are fads that don't last, others are refined into standards that last. Some aspects of the 35s5 lasted....the swim platform, aft cabin, large head and good turn of speed: all things we expect on a new 35 foot boat these days. Things like her below decks furler and odd ports did not, for the most part, last. But that's what imagination is all about and it's a wonderful thing when it's worked into a splendid boat like the 35s5.... Imagination....
http://www.yachtcruises.co.uk/Dsc00271.jpg Thats not imaginary rust stains on yet another 35s5. You will never see rust stains on my all steel boat, but it looks like all the 35s5's have rust stains on the stern. Looks like the majority of 35s5 that get water salt water on them rust. Joe |

Why not just ASK me why my ladder isn't rusting like the others? I'd be
happy to tell you. RB 35s5 NY |

A little care and proper maintance anyone can keep such things from
happening unless it is steel bolts ect running thru plastic that can not be maintained. That looks like whats happening to me on the 35s5's. The running rust is not coming from the ladder on all these pictures it is coming from the base of the backstay. I allready told you why your is not showing running rust. All brokers know all you have to do is put Ospho in a spray bottle and mist the running rust, it disappears until exposed to salt spray again. Bad on paint, and worse on fiberglass gelcoat. Look around the area on your boat rob, you will notice the gelcoat in that area looks chalkey. You 35s5 guys should get together a file a class action lawsuit! Joe |

The running rust is not coming from the ladder on all these pictures it
is coming from the base of the backstay. Bwahahahahaha! Joe, you're funny! So the rust is running from the backstay, then under the ladder area only! What about the port side? No rust there. And the backstay is in a recessed area, so how is the rust climbing up, then back down to end up beneath the ladder only on the starboard side!? Please explain! Bad on paint, and worse on fiberglass gelcoat. Look around the area on your boat rob, you will notice the gelcoat in that area looks chalkey. We did, both me and two surveyors. All gelcoat is bright and shiny in spite of the last wax job being about 6 months ago. Now, since the boat sat in salt water before she was shipped and I brought her to the slip myself, how much MORE salt water exposure is required for the stains to come back??? (PS: This may be the saddest trolling ever...and I like it!!!) RB 35s5...no Rust anywhere! NY |

BTW Rob this pictures pretty much says it all about crew and boat.
I've never seen a sadder looking bunch of lazy lubbers in my life Imagination.... http://www.yachtcruises.co.uk/Dsc00271.jpg Just look at em. Tortured souls to lazy to pull the tangle of lines out of the water, none of em look like they are enjoying anything. Don't you agree? Joe |
