Today's top pick?
The Columbia 36 by BC. These tough little boats have taken the years well and have much more character than the Catalinas of the day. Build quality was generally pretty good, though interiors will need a freshening for certain. Some of these will also need a repower. Some years ago I was offered a free one, but passed. A really nice one might bring 25K and that's a nice roomy stiff sailboat perfect for a family who doesn't need a sailboat with a bathtub shaped cockpit that seats 12. In 1970 she was under 20K new!!! http://www.columbia-yachts.com/col36/p4-5.jpg RB 35s5 NY |
