Ahhh, so a policy that restricted Indians to reservations when they
roamed free, declaring acts that were part of their culture criminal
causing people who had never seen a solid wall to be caged, and
delivering infected blankets has nothing to do with genocide?

No. Purely cultural clash. For example, in their culture, if I could steal
your horse and get x miles away it became my horse and you had to steal it
back - all a big game. But Cowboys didn't play fair - they lynched horse
thieves! In indian culture unused property became everybody's property. My
twice great grandfather built a winter house in a protected draw. Upon
returning to Summer House one spring he found it occupied by indians, who he
promptly killed. Right/wrong? Genesis says God forbid us to contemplate
that.

Indians willing to accept Euro culture were and are more or less welcome in
mainstream America. In fact my employer is a tribe. The owners, mostly
college grads, wear business suits or, more likely, jeans when in the
office. If an Indian wants to live as his ancestors then he has to do it on
a reservation designed as much to keep us out as him in. Sort of like a Jew
going to Isreal or me going to Disneyland. Many believe most Indians were
killed but truth is they just blended in. Now the best way to ID an Indian
is by how much Casino stock he owns g.

The blanket legend may or may not be factual. Some less than honest traders
may have sold blankets from hospitals but it is doubtful that was ever
official government policy. Many whites feared and thus hated indians and
hate makes people do strange things.

True, Vito, but are you no succumbing to Bart's error of trying to justify
bad behavior by pointing at other bad behavior?

Sorry.
