Getting ready for winter
How short are your days on Dec 21st?
Ours are dang short. Sunrise is after 7am and sunset is about 4:30 pm here. Your's must more than an hour shorter? "Donal" wrote "Bart Senior" .@. wrote How cold does it get there? Below freezing? It does get to below freezing, but the daytime temperatures usually get above freezing. The conditions that I am thinking of have a nightime temp of -4C and a daytime max of about 6C. We scrub the decks with a stiff brush to remove the ice/frost before we set sail. These days are absolutely wonderful... the sense of desolation is amazing. Regards Donal |
