.5KW Yanmar gennie and a 3.5 KW Westerbeke. All four run and

The only thing I don't like is the Volvo engines they used,
which are hard to start in cold weather, and parts are absurdly priced.

My 35s5 has a Volvo. It has a good rep, but I know prices are crazy for
parts. Exhaust manifold is over 500 bucks! I actually toyed with the
idea of yanking it and selling while it's running well. I'd much prefer
Yanmar or Westerbeke. Volvo's do take some work to start in cold
weather, then typically blow a cloud of white smoke, which clears after
warm up. Even a much newer Volvo in my friend's Sweden does this. He's
licked it a few times by adjusting timing, but it always returns.

Get you a VM Rob. I think the D703 LE, 3 cylinder direct injected,2.1
liter displacement,Rated at 45 HP at 3000 rpm
Weight 419 lbs.

I had a VM in my Layfette skiff and loved it. Fair prices on parts and
an excellent all weather engine.

Throw that volvo crap away now before it leaves you in a bind.

You should also replace that dangerious sound insulation foam from your
dog house and get this:

My buddy had two trucks with 12-71s in them. They were
screamers!

I ran a crewboat that had 5 12-71's set in a W configuration for a
company called McCall. It was something to stand on the back deck
underway at full throttle.

The roar of the engines was orgasmic ;0)

http://www.seacormarine.com/fleet_profile.html I think this is the
Sara McCall ...She had the 5 12-71TI's. The crewboat with the 2 pill
tanks

I had a 8V-92T in one of my trucks, she was a runner.

T = turbo. What is the ''I'' for after the ''T''. ( injected?)

Joe, if I ever drive down to visit, remind me to shut her down
right away.
