"Capt. Rob" wrote in message oups.com... I think you know what a swim platform is. A powerboat feature, generally. RB 35s5--no speed, but what the hell--there is a swim platform. :Chantiers Beneteau NY |

"Capt. Rob" wrote in message Also, the small performance gain for the 33.7 here seems to run hand in hand with a near 7 foot draft which doesn't work for us. The only draft that works for us is beer. As I think I mentioned, our interior was not built here. But did I mention that I'm clueless? FYI, our next boat could very well be a 45f5...but that's 4-5 years off at least. This is plenty of boat for us now. And did I mention that it has a swim platform? RB 35s5--only a Yugo is better value :Chantiers Beneteau NY |

A powerboat feature, generally. Don't be silly. Plenty of sailboats now have swim platforms integrated just like the 35s5. RB 35s5 NY |

Doug...not ONE of those boats listed matched or even came close to the
criteria I listed. no swim platforms OH MY GOD!!! NO SWIM PLATFORMS!!! My friend has a 5 and 1 year old. The swim platform is fantastic for them. It's also great for dinghy use. No reason not to have it. RB 35s5 NY |

If you are going to dream of owing a superior production boat, you should
take a look at what Swan builds. FYI, our next boat could very well be a 45f5...but that's 4-5 years off at least. This is plenty of boat for us now. RB 35s5 NY |

should take a look at what Swan builds. A Swan for local daysailing and weekend cruises on the Sound? Yeah, sure. That makes sense. About as much sense as Jeff's PDQ. RB 35s5 NY |

Would you really go swimming in the LIS? gross.
"Capt. Rob" wrote in message oups.com... Doug...not ONE of those boats listed matched or even came close to the criteria I listed. Either no aft cabins, no swim platforms and so on. Good work, Doug. You proved my point. The 35s5 (at the time of her design) was a rare combo of features and speed. Nowadays such a boat is a lot easier to find...for about twice the price. C&C and Kirie were among the very few other contenders. The 35s5 is essentially umatched for her speed and accomodation, unless you spend much more. I bet there's some odd make boats out there that can do the same...but not easy to find, buy or resell. Thanks again for making my point! RB 35s5 NY |

Swimming in the LIS off a boat is safe and clean. Swimming on beaches is less lean due to sediment contamination. This is one of the reasons we wanted the swim platform as it's a great way to get Thomas acclimated to the water with a higher degree of safety. After performance and the generous cockpit, many owners say the swim platform is a favorite feature. RB 35s5 NY |
