Cost is the main reason to chose a mooring over a dock.
It is a more like four times the cost or more to take a slip over a mooring. I don't pay for my slip or other yard fees. 135 per foot last time I checked. WIth electric and other fees, about 6800.00 here. That's not too expensive and I've never heard anyone claim it was...until now. Our club also has wireless internet, phone hookup and so on.
