Neal tells us that that the way to true enlightenment is to forget our memories; I suspect this is easier for Neal than most of us. Well, you have to do something or go somewhere to have memories. All Neal has is memory of his little boat and his laptop screen. It's ingrained in his memory, much like the older monitors have a picture of the company's logo. I'm still surprised Neal can find his way to the grocery store... LP |

Wow, that sounds just like Capt. Neal when I went to visit him in the Keys in February! That's typical. Those folks bought the wrong boat. They should have admitted to themselves they are not sailors and bought a trawler instead - like DSK did. When are you going to by a trawler, Neal? Oh I forgot, you aren't going anywhere. As a general rule, I have noted, over the years, that as the sailboat gets larger the use of it for sailing gets smaller. Many Americans need to reconsider their idea of "the bigger the better" and opt for a sailboat of a sensible size for their abilities. So you are saying your 27' boat is too big or too small? The same goes for their homes - Americans live in houses that are becoming obscene with respect to square footage of floor space. These displays of greed gobble up resources the likes of which the world has never seen before. Ahhh, I thought you liked my house. I guess you lied about that too... LP |
