Whats the best way to get yourself off a sandbar if you run hard
aground?

If on engine, try backing off in the opposite direction you came in on. If
that fails, don't overload the engine and look for another solution. If
under sail, attempt to tack immediately. If that doesn't work, you can
trying leaning, kedging, or engine as previously mentioned.
