I don't have time to contribute I'm too busy laughing at your fighting
prowess at the Gold Range saloon. Prancing at the LeFrolic Bistro Bar is probably closer to the truth. JR Capt. Mooron wrote: "JR Gilbreath" wrote in message . .. Capt. You can enjoy a person's humor and not agree with their political views. I have nothing to gain by sucking up to anyone. I do think humor is better than the mindless blathering that goes on here. After all is said and done no one has changed anyone's mind. Well JR... if you are arguing in an attempt to change anyone's mind here... you are wasting your time. Some of the posters don't even agree with the stance they take here.... Nonetheless... rhetoric and wit is abundant on this group.... unfortunately you've not managed to contribute as much as you've managed to complain. CM |

Sam's Monkey Tree is owned by another friend of mine who bought it from Sam who owned the Gold Range.... I believe Sam is retired now. The Rec Hall... another great bar.... used to be right across from the Gold Range. I've also been in fights at the Boiler room Bar in Norman Wells, The Zoo in Inuvik and the Back Eddy in Hay River. Have you never been in a bar fight JR?? CM |

By far the worst damage I've seen done is what happened to a buddy of mine as we were walking home from the bar.... It's winter and minus 30c.. my buddy spots what he believes is a beer can on the side walk... he runs up and kicks it with everthing he's got... it turns out to be a portion of a steel post embedded in concrete that was sheared off by the plow. When I was young, I used to put a brick into a brown paper bag, and leave it on the pavement. It was great fun watching people give it a good kick. Nowadays, I get a similiar pleasure from reading peoples' responses to Joe's posts. Regards Donal -- |
