I worked as a campus security guard....I pinned a 16 y/o kid to a cigarette
machine when he had his arm stuck up inside trying to get a freebie...I was
always glad nothing more exciting ever happened!

I worked my way through school as a bouncer and a private security guard.
Both paid well, the drinks were free, and I managed to never get shot.

I'm probably the only poster here who has ever been in a real knock'em
down, drag'em out bar fight! I've been in at least a half dozen in the
Gold Range Saloon in Yellowknife. We locals referred to it as the Strange
Range!

You're a blow hard my angry Canadian friend, but that's why I like you.
If you were with me, you'd find bar fights to be much shorter and less
exciting than you're used to. You'd walk out with your drink finished
and your change in your pocket. I choose a team just so I have someone
to finish my drink with when the fighting is done.

I wouldn't join your "team"... I'm a one man demolition crew!

My attitude has always been that if you find yourself in a Barfight and
need back-up... buddy you're in the wrong friggin' bar!!!

Capt. You can enjoy a person's humor and not agree with their political
views. I have nothing to gain by sucking up to anyone. I do think
humor is better than the mindless blathering that goes on here. After
all is said and done no one has changed anyone's mind.

Thats nothing, While onboard the USS Samuel Gompers AD-37 a friend and
I locked a nearly naked young lady in with the gedunk machines, the
ladies bearthing was just across the passage way. Seems after returning
from liberty she staggered over for a late night sugar fix. Drew quite
a crowd before they found the key to let her out. Glad she never found
out who locked the gate!

Capt. Mooron March 11th 05 03:35 AM

Duh... YEAH!

It's one of the toughest bars in the NWT.

They had six squad cars and half the RCMP detachment arrive to the last one
I was in.... I started it by smackin' the local martial arts instructor
when he stole my seat at the bar. Everyone got in on it in minutes.... the
whole place was wrecked... Sam barred me for a month!!

Tell you what... I didn't need to fight for at least a year after that
one....

Well JR... if you are arguing in an attempt to change anyone's mind here...
you are wasting your time. Some of the posters don't even agree with the
stance they take here....

Nonetheless... rhetoric and wit is abundant on this group.... unfortunately
you've not managed to contribute as much as you've managed to complain.

CM

JR Gilbreath March 11th 05 03:44 AM

I don't have time to contribute I'm too busy laughing at your fighting
prowess at the Gold Range saloon. Prancing at the LeFrolic Bistro Bar
is probably closer to the truth.

Well said and proof that you have superior logic and reasoning.

Will you not use that gift on other than men? Ignoring attempting
to improve the brains of the other half of the human race is a
waste of God's gifts to men.

Pierre owns Le Frolic.... It used to be The Unicorn Pub. Sam's Monkey Tree
is owned by another friend of mine who bought it from Sam who owned the Gold
Range.... I believe Sam is retired now. The Rec Hall... another great
bar.... used to be right across from the Gold Range. I've also been in
fights at the Boiler room Bar in Norman Wells, The Zoo in Inuvik and the
Back Eddy in Hay River.

Have you never been in a bar fight JR??
