I thought hurricanes in the northern hemisphere were anti-cyclonic unlike
tornados which are cyclonic... OzOne wrote in message ... Its not like you have to worry about getting flooded. It may be a bad time for lubbers but a nice warm place to live is worth the risk. Ive been thru 5-6 hurricanes and only had one item trashed, a 22' camper on jacks rolled across the lawn. My fault.I was offshore and did not have it properly secured. You know the news people look for the worst to show you Yankee's on TV. Joe Joe, unfortunately it seems you are one of those in extreme danger from a cyclone. You've been lulled into a false sense of security by cyclones that have been little more than a tropical storm at your location. Get back to reality and tell me just how you'd cope with a direct hit from a Cat 5, like the one off Northerm Oz at the moment. 280kph winds are nver "enjoyable" and with the seas that go with such winds, "getting flooded" is the least of your worries!
