Ahh ... but what "God".

Go to sea and look into the sky some dark cloudless night. You will see
countless stars in such a display it may give you virtigo. Now consider that
some stars you see aren't there any more, long since burned out, while the
light from most has been traveling toward you since before Earth, let alone
man, began. Think about the power and majesty of any God that could have
created all this - and the tiny atoms - as well all working in synch. Pause
a moment ..... reflect on it.

Now, if you can, imagine this same all powerful, all knowing God hoofing
his way across an Earthly desert in the noonday sun on his way to check out
*rumors* that villages were being disobedient. Can your imagination stretch
farther? Then try to imagine some petty con man inviting "God" into his
tent for a veal sandwich and if that doesn't get a laugh imagine "God"
promising this dude all the land between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers
if - hold your breath - he will cut off the end of his penis! And all his
sons' penises! Now imagine that "God" lied! Despite following orders Abie
doesn't get his land and his descendents have to sell themselves as slaves
in Egypt. Quite a story, right?

That is the "God" Capt. Neal is talking about.
