Yep... they're very good at their job... takes a couple of minutes and
you're done. A real assembly line. I haven't used them in years, as I have
a Jeep.

Scotti Potti is jealous because he doesn't have a spare $30.

2 points here Jon...... only Mericans & Aussies would need chains on any
road you might have down there... and since Scotty drives a real truck...
he'd have his own set of chains and be quite familiar as to how to put them
on .

Why would you ask our resident gay about renting a car in SF? Are you a
racialist? Gaynzy doesn't live in SF, just ask him.

And, please, take it to email. This thread is even more boring than the
usual threads you start, although it is your right to post such drivel as
your brave fighting men have made the world safe for usenet!

Poor CM, doesn't realise that when Floridians get into snow that nee
all the help they can get.
The police in the interest of keeping roads clear and saving lives,
like to see them with chains on so they can break at every corner ;-)

Oh I realize that all right..... but consider.... 2 weeks ago I was doing
140kph down the highway [posted speed was 80kph] with a foot and a half of
snow cover since the plows couldn't get out to clear the roads. No
chains.... 5 year old all season tires. ....and Ozone, here we have a lot
of hills and hairpin turns. No problems buddy... none at all.

Do you need a special tool to pile it on that thick?

Cheers

No Man... nature dropped 3 feet of snow on us that day. Great stuff! I had
to go to Maplewood to pick up my smoked bacon in Sweetland then drive to my
buddy's farm in Maplewood. There were no plows off exit 11 and only one plow
on the 103.... and my S15 4x4 GMC was nicely loaded with about 400lbs of
concrete cylinders for added traction. Nobody was out driving.... except a
couple of snowmobiles and a quad. I was doing 140kph down the
straightaways... I did slow down for the turns... 4 wheel drifts around some
of those bends was awesome!

Think about it Marty... I've lived in the north for over 20 years.... do
you really think I haven't driven that fast in much worse conditions? But
what the heck... you're from Ontario.... you idiots slow to 60kph on a
superhighway at the first sign of a flake of snow dropping! You guys called
out the Armed Forces to assist in a frickin' snowstorm... you pussies!

Mooron, it's got nothing to do with ability. The cops will not allow anyone
beyond a certain point unless you have either snow chains or a 4x4. And,
it's not a matter of ability to put them on. It's a matter of desire to not
get out of the vehicle. I know you Canuks are poor, but even in your money
that's only about $100.
