They would be in contravention if no sail plan was filed.... ham radio routing would inform all vessels in the area of her route and location, satellite phones are on most commercial and private yachts, sailors with crew failing to maintain watch which includes radio broadcasts as per court rulings would also be in breach if a collision occurred. More than likely that every vessel passing close to her route would have been informed. CM |

By whom and by what method? You have some peculiar ideas about what kind of comms are monitored by vessels at sea ... and how to get information to them and receive information about their position.
