Default Stewart's Tacker/ Scotty

Knocked one out for you Scotty. Picture of it on the furled Genny (
3of3) I think

It was easier than digging mine out. Cut out of Tide Jug and scrape
line. The Tide label is still on the inside. I turn them inside out to
make the slide better.

$75.00 commercially (G) Help your selves group

Scott,

I stitch the line to the plastic. There shouldn't be any problem if you
would rather use nylon webbing. You can have the one in the picture or
make your own.
Let me know

Thanks Thom. I was thinking of the webbing to be softer on the rolled
sail, but now I see that the plastic is better for horizontal
adjustment. Do you hand sew right through the plastic bottle?

I went to the ATN site, and basically it's the same thing that you
made, maybe a little nicer looking, but for $75. And the red will
match my rolled jib.

If and when I get a chute, I'll get back to you.

Scott,

I stitch right thru the plastic. About every three inches two stitches
with the speed stitcher.

It may not be as pretty but you sure as hell can't beat the price.

Got to check back and see how you go wing-on-wing. I can't think of a
way that my gadget can do it?!?!

Scotty,

I didn't mean wing-on-wing. It is made to order for that. Spinnaker and
Main Sail.

I was thinking about "Twin Head Sails" I sail this way often but when
I do I clip the Spinnaker Pole to the fore deck and extend the Spinnaker
Tack forward of the Bow pulpit, When I do this I can still use the 150
out the other side and drop the main in the Lazy Jacks.

Makes for easy down wind sailing and a wind shift will just collapse one
or the other head sails. No Gybing Boom coming across the cockpit.

I knew that's what you meant. Do you have a whisker pole for the 150?

Scott,
In the picture I have one looped end of the line looped in the other.
This was just to hold it in place for picture taking. In use, each loop
goes in a shackle and the shackle pin goes thru the Spinnaker Tack.

Dave,

I was thinking of going almost that route with 2 inch dowels cut two
inches long, drilled out with tapered ends but I didn't like the bend it
put in the fore Stay but it did work.

This one doesn't seem to kink the Stay as bad.

Dave, both systems store better than the $75.00 one. You can stuff them
in the sailbag
