St Mary's is low angle. The glacier is much smaller than it used to be.
That's from too many people driving SUV's - on the glacier!

up (a 30 minute drive from Breck, last right before Hoosier) and a good

down. Who's talking about a weekend? You can even go over the pass for
some
good old ice climbing fun at Montgomery Reservoir.

How does that compare with St. Mary's glacier? We used to ice climb there
in the spring.

You've got to be kidding. Nothing beyond hiking boots was allowed on the
glacier for decades. Sad.
