Thanks Doug,

I guess we should mention that those "Twin Sails" are high aspect sails

While we are at it, we must mention those hydro-furls shoud have a round
leading edges ( according to Neal) to increase speed (G)

Die Fledermaus

Is a Famous Straus Waltz. It's translation I do believe, is the;

The Flying Mouse Which means "BAT"

Now that, we cleared up High Aspect & Fledermaus, I can get back to my
coffee

Neal,

It would be better for you if you'd, Shut the Hell up!

You haven't a clue to what, "High Aspect" really means.

If you call those sails high aspect ratio then you have no clue.

http://www.jefraskin.com/forjef2/jef...ard_sails.html

Keep in mind that the rig shown in the original post will always be close hauled
as speed because of the apparent wind generated by the high speeds.

A taller sail than shown that has a more rounded head will be more
efficient than the ones shown. Guaranteed.

You are the one who's clueless. See the links I posted on the
other post where I made you look like a dweeb.

OK Neal,

Let's play with this a Bit.
High aspect RATIO

This RATIO, has to be between two things.

Question; In respect to a sail, Aspect of what to what?

Let's start there so we can both be on the same subject.

You don't need to treat me like a retard. The aspect ratio is a number
representing relationship between the length and the chord. It might
look something like this, 3.5:1 or 7.0:2.5.
