I wonder if anybody has made an amphibious sailer? Take one of these
things and put foils on it. Imagine the thrill of sailing 30+ knots down
the launch ramp and into the water!

Thanks Doug,

I guess we should mention that those "Twin Sails" are high aspect sails

While we are at it, we must mention those hydro-furls shoud have a round
leading edges ( according to Neal) to increase speed (G)

Is a Famous Straus Waltz. It's translation I do believe, is the;

The Flying Mouse Which means "BAT"

Now that, we cleared up High Aspect & Fledermaus, I can get back to my
coffee

If you call those sails high aspect ratio then you have no clue.

Keep in mind that the rig shown in the original post will always be close hauled
as speed because of the apparent wind generated by the high speeds.

A taller sail than shown that has a more rounded head will be more
efficient than the ones shown. Guaranteed.
