Bush Cabinet moves 'stifling dissent'
From correspondents in Washington
November 24, 2004

US President George W. Bush is moving to concentrate power as he
begins his second term, placing trusted members of his inner circle in
key positions, but some analysts believe he risks stifling healthy
debate within his administration.

"It is understandable that this president, like any president, wants
his decisions to be taken as writ," said William Galston, a government
professor at the University of Maryland, who served as a domestic
policy adviser to former President Bill Clinton.

"However, this president is running the risk of restricting the range
of debate within the administration very seriously," Prof Galston
said.

Alarm bells rang in Washington's political circles last week when the
new CIA director, Porter Goss, sent a memo to agency employees telling
them their job was to "support the administration and its policies".

"As agency employees we do not identify with, support or champion
opposition to the administration or its policies," Mr Goss said in the
memorandum, which came after several top officers resigned.

those have reached a level consistent with rates the world over.
What our stupid Liberal voters have done is borrow heavily on the

Property and real estate are a waste.

They are only choices for girly-men who, like women,
must have a nest. Phhaaaa! You disgust me more and
more, Oz, with your female traits. A simpering, pacifistic,
dependent, nest-building wimp, you are.

Real men realize that real estate is available for their
use (male use like hunting, fishing and hiding buried
treasure) for free provided a man is bold enough to
just go out and do it. People like who have to own
what God gave us for free are usurpers and cowardly,
hedonistic swine who take and fence off that which
is not intended to be privately owned because you are
too chicken to use what God gave mankind as God
intended it be used.

Real men are nomadic hunters and warriors not some female,

True, it's no loss but no, I still own a place in Sydney as well as
this one and a farm in the NSW country. One place too many really but
we've owned the farm for over 20 years, all the kids learnt to shoot,
ride bikes, cut trees down and drive up there. I figure that in about
3-5 years the kids will start going up by themselves so since we don't
need the money, might as well keep it.

All true but the ALP were also lucky that when Hawke & Keating wanted
to bring in economic reforms, the other mob supported them instead of
engaging in blind opposition for opposition sake. We'll see what
happens after July next year.

As a friend of mine said WRT the last election - "I resent the hell out
of having to vote for a hoplophobic, flak jacketed lying little rodent
who's ****ing our rights away because the other mob is so hopeless".
Labor woulda won if they'd had some half decent policies & candidates.
As I told one of the ALP apparatchiks, you can win on good policies and
bad salesmanship, or bad policies and good salesmanship, but you're SOL
with bad policies *and* people who couldn't sell beer in a desert.
Ability to climb thru the ALP machine doesn't translate into ability to
sell policies to the punters. Too many apparatchiks who've no clue
about the working world I'm afraid.

Ah well, maybe next time, I hope.

Real men are nomadic hunters and warriors not some female,
wannabe most concerned with building nests. Faggot!

Quite correct, Neal! Especially in Australia - where the land has
all
been
stolen from the (ab)original owners.

If I were in Peter's position, I'd keep my mouth shut. There is
no
honour
in the ownership of stolen goods.

That's sad. How do you cope with living and working with your

Bwahahahahahahahahaha. Same way I cope with the small fraction of the

Shrug. Donal likes to play with history, I can play too. I put his
problem down to alternating between CO poisoning from smoking and bad
temper when he tries to quit his disgusting vice, and fails.

I admire your courage! If I had your ignorance I'd be afraid to display it
in public.

If you knew anything at all about history, then you would know that the
people who surround me were as oppressed as the Irish were. Coffin boats
sailed from England and Wales, as well as Ireland.

Also, if you knew anything at all about the Internet, then you'd be able to
figure out that I don't occupy a subservient position here.

If you knew anything at all about history, then you would realise that most
of the English were as oppressed as the Irish. It wasn't about

Don't be so modest! You've proven many times that ignorance has not
deterred you from posting here.

If you knew anything at all about history, then you would know that the

I do seem to be missing that bit of history. Can you point me to
reference material showing that the native Irish invaded, conquered and
confiscated most/all of the land comprising England any time in the
last thousand years or so? That they created landholdings, nobility,
built castles and treated the natural resources as their own?

No, I didn't think you could. Therefore my point stands and you're
trying to slide off - again.

Coffin boats
sailed from England and Wales, as well as Ireland.

Also, if you knew anything at all about the Internet, then you'd be able to

Ah, sorry, didn't realise you were the Queen of England posting via a
sockpuppet. My apologies, your Highness. How are your corgies?

Irrelevant. We also seem to have strayed from the original point, but
that's standard with you it seems. To recap, you seem to think that I
am the possessor of stolen wealth in the form of land in Australia. At
the same time, you are benefiting from the country that oppressed and
exploited your fellow countrymen, but seem to feel no shame. Shrug.

Or were you
one of the Irish who sold their birthright to their English masters and
became their running dogs? I suppose that might explain why you, as an
Irishman, doesn't live in Ireland.

.... And you don't live in England because your ancestor was a
criminal??????

Alas, I can't claim that distinction. Keep guessing. The answer is
amusing.

Can I take your lack of denial to the above as a tacit admission that
perhaps I've hit a little too close to the mark? Pity if so - hypocrisy
is always so interesting to dissect.

I should have realised that I was ethnically inferior to you.

Are you? How do you work that out?

You sound superior. You seem to be very intelligent, and I'm Irish.

Keep working on that inferiority complex, lad. Your seemingly innate
racism/ethnic issues could do with some exorcising as well.

No need to limit it to the Australian population, Donal.

How do you cope with women who are more intelligent than you?

The first one I met, I married. That was 29 years ago now. The second
one is the godmother of my 2 daughters. The others - 2 of them I go
sailing with quite regularly. You see, I don't need to establish a
dominant power position (for example, employer-employee) to feel
comfortable in the company of women smarter than myself. I'm sad for
you that you can't say the same.

Well, let's put it this way- the Jews stole the land of Israel from the
Canaanites... and they're long since vanished. Then the Greeks & Romans
stole the land from them, and then along came the Sassanids and Turks
who stole it yet again, and now the Jews are stealing it back.

You seem to be looking at the situation with a very very narrow
viewpoint. Not likely to solve... or even appreciate the scope...any
problems that way.

Oy, talk about a narrow viewpoint. Ever wonder why you cannot comment or
diasgree without launching an ad hominum attack? Perhaps drugs ...???

Recent DNA studies show that, rather than stealing from the Canaanites, the
Jews were simply Canaanites with a different religion (ie, Moishe is
mythical). Nor have the Canaanites vanished - their descendents, now
converted to Islam and other religions by the folks you mention, plus
indigineous Jews, were called Palistinians by the Brits, et al. There was
no notable "theft" of land until after WW2 - simply different groups taking
charge, often aided by outsiders. Mot of the people living there in, say,
1946 could trace their DNA ancestory to both Sampson and Delilia and cousins
on both sides.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, or rather about 70AD IIRC, Rome tired of koher
pigheadeness, slaughtered the troublemakers and packed the rest into exile
throughout the empire as slaves. Some (most?) of these people kept their
religion but lost their Canaan ethenicity and culture and took on those of
their hosts over the next two millenia. Then along came Hitler, rounded
them up selling their homes and businesses to locals and packed them off to
labor camps and worse where many died. After Germany was defeated the
survivors had no place to go, their homes farms and businesses were now
owned by good Chritians. They Were called Displaced Persons. Again, these
peoples were Europeans.

Having no place to go, but with historial ties to Roman Judea, these
EUROPEANS invaded what had become Palistine and created the Jewish State of
Israel. This required the displacement of the indigineous peoples - a
process still ongoing.

Some call it genocide. Others, including those managing G.Witless, believe
that Gawd created the USA and made it strong so that we could assist this
genocide and protect Israel from interference. Thats why we attacked
Saddam - to defend Israel. They call themselves Neocons and support the
witless one.

Please note that I have disagreed without attacking you personally.

The Jewish Diaspora was less than 50% of the population. Probably much
less. That leaves a very large percent still there chugging along day to
day.

No notable event in almost two thousand years? Isn't this leaving out a
good bit?

Uh huh. If this were the case, then what was the Balfour Doctrine all
about, about twenty years earlier? And why would Balfour, an English
politician, have found it expedient to make any statements on the
subject unless there were a politically (& economically... never forget
the money angle!) significant Zionist movement already under way?
