Forget the Boob's stupid original post. Forget water tanks, watermakers and
provisions. Just like fuel and a motor is to a power boat sails eventually
disintegrate after prolonged exposure to UV rays. Therefore even with a crew
who didn't require food or water any sailboat would eventually loose her sails
and come to a stop. Once again the Boob is proven wrong. He knows nothing
about boats.

How sad a post for Loco! Sailboats have unlimited range. A sailboat can carry
enough sails to sail around the world twice with ease.
Sorry, Loco. You just joined Thom is the loser circle.
But if you really want to be crazy, lets just say that eventually the
fiberglass will turn to dust or the sun will expand and dry out the oceans
or.....

Bwahahahahaha!

GOOD GRIEF!!!!

That hardly rates as "unlimited".... unless of course, as in your
case..... the furthest reaches of your explored space only encompasses the
limits of the inner harbour.

Face it Bob.... a sailboat does not have "unlimited" range. Extended
yes..... unlimited NO!

See there you go..... I'm not on the fence regarding this issue. :-D

Unlike you, I don't have to worry about getting AIDS.

I'm sorry to hear that, Jon.

Have you already got AIDS, .. or have you given up sex?

Yes... let's talk operational costs shall we... if only to substantiate

your
claim to it being "inexpensive".
I have a lot of experience with Sat Phones... I use them regularly for

work
related communications in extremely remote locations.

I cannot see a viable use for one on a coastal cruiser.

You think that Bob does coastal cruising?????

Well what would you call cruising along the coast?
....even if that "coast" amounts to a dock and a breakwater.

Jon probably practices safe sex by using rubber gloves and having both his
hands checked every 6 months.

Good question, Donal,

I don't think Nutsy has sailed the south coast of Long Island. About 120
miles. The Sat Phone wasn't activated :^)

Reading his posts, do you suppsed his boat done it without him? Any boat
he is on, any boat, has a very limited range. Very limited. Even if he
uses Pooka Bill to say otherwise.

Sorry, Loco. .

Excuse me but twice around isn't unlimited. No sailboat can carry enough sails
to give her unlimited range. So I think you loose Boob. Sorry to you.
