PDW Heh heh, the US Navy is pretty big. If they decide to board you somewhere in the Pacific I would let them, keep your hands in plain sight at all times, don't make any sudden movements. John Cairns US Navy tries boarding me in Mid Pacific, they'll be landed with piracy charges the moment they leave my yacht! If it's an Australian flagged yacht, you'd probably find Howard et al have sold out your rights. Guy I correspond with in the USA has his yacht flagged in Panama just so he's not subject to USCG 'anytime, anywhere' searches. Maybe a NZ flagged vessel might be the go. Except for their idiotic rules concerning what's needed on a blue water yacht but that might not be a problem if you just never took it into NZ waters. PDW |
