Default OT Bush

Its very worrying that anybody with half a brain cell would consider voting
for Bush again after all the crap that's happened, honestly!

Some good old Bush humour....

Yeah... I think that's the problem. It's disturbing that there are people
who can actually walk and talk who are also going to vote.

You have to remember that the average Joe isn't that bright. I think folks
have the habit of assuming that the average joe is as bright as they are,
simply not true. You remember that survey a while back?
The question was, do you consider yourself to be above or below "average"
intelligence? Turns out that well over half (don't remember the exact %)
consider themselves to be "above average" !!!!!!!!!
I've seen the other studies indicating that the "average" degree holder in
the US has an iq somewhere between 100-110, the average advanced degree
holder an iq of below 120. If you look at the issues in the current
presidential election, most of the Bush ads don't carry much in the way of
factual truths about his administration, just tried and true platitudes
about the dangers of terrorism and liberalism. You've seen the ads with the
wolves, right? It appears to be directed at someone with the intelligence of
a pre-schooler. Oh well. They say that in a democracy you get the kind of
government you deserve. I'm hoping that we deserve better this time around.

I'm sure you didn't intend to single out Joe for being average. I can think
of a couple other people here as well. g

The average Joe is smart enough to remember when your buddy Stevie
Sumner posted the below on 9/11.

"I am afraid to say you Americans asked for it,"

I'm bright enough to see that birds of the same feather flock
together.

You're bright enough to be able to chew and watch TV. That's about it.

Step back and look at history. Two millenia ago radical Jews rebeled
against Rome and, just as their prophets predicted, brought about the end of
*their* world. The survivors were captured and sold as slaves throughout the
empire and "the Jewish State" ceased to exist. For the next 2000 years these
people mingled with the locals until they lost their ethnicity and became
European in body and culture if not in religion. Meanwhile other
indigineous people populated the regions once called Israel and Judea and
called it there own for 2000 years. Then came Hitler! Jews were rounded up
and their homes and property seized and sold throughout most of Europe and
when it was over survivors returning to France and other countries were not
given back their homes. There had always been a longing to return to
Israel - now Palistine - and now it took shape. Thousands of displaced Jews,
most of them educated Europeans, began descending on Palistine, where most
locals still lived in the middle ages. When the Brit's left, indigineous
Palistinians and their Arab allies tried to oust these invaders but culture
prevailed and they lost badly. Since then more and more Jews have moved in
to displace the Palistinians by guile and by force just as Europeans
displaced the original inhabitants of the Americas. And they have done so
with American weapons and logistic support! When Palistinians are under
attack it is by American helocopters, jets and tanks! Palistinians have no
aircraft or tanks so they resort to blowing themselves up to carry the war
to their enemies. Some see that as acts of great selfless patriotism and
even help support their widows and children. We call it terrorism.

I can't say we asked for it, but a terrorist attack on our own soil was
certainly a forseeable outcome of our blind support of Israel's efforts to
cleanse Palistine of Palistinians. But we Americans know what's right. We
pay people like Billy Graham and Jerry Fallwell $millions to tell us all
about it and to assure us of heaven after death ... just like Muslims pay
Mullahs and Ayatollahs. But the average Joe doesn't want to know anything
about that. He wants a president who believes God ordained him to rule us.
