![]() "Jonathan Ganz" wrote in message ... Yeah... I think that's the problem. It's disturbing that there are people who can actually walk and talk who are also going to vote. -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com You have to remember that the average Joe isn't that bright. I think folks have the habit of assuming that the average joe is as bright as they are, simply not true. You remember that survey a while back? The question was, do you consider yourself to be above or below "average" intelligence? Turns out that well over half (don't remember the exact %) consider themselves to be "above average" !!!!!!!!! I've seen the other studies indicating that the "average" degree holder in the US has an iq somewhere between 100-110, the average advanced degree holder an iq of below 120. If you look at the issues in the current presidential election, most of the Bush ads don't carry much in the way of factual truths about his administration, just tried and true platitudes about the dangers of terrorism and liberalism. You've seen the ads with the wolves, right? It appears to be directed at someone with the intelligence of a pre-schooler. Oh well. They say that in a democracy you get the kind of government you deserve. I'm hoping that we deserve better this time around. John Cairns "Stephen Sumner, YachtingUniverse.com" wrote in message ... Its very worrying that anybody with half a brain cell would consider voting for Bush again after all the crap that's happened, honestly!
