Never sailed it but IMHO found some of the most beautiful scenery in the
country. Prolly a bit nippy this time of year.

My Minnesotian nephew used to have a tee-shirt that said:

MINNESOTA...
spring, summer, fall, winter, winter, winter

Minnesotans and Yoopers are fond of claiming they have 9 months of winter
and 3 months of bad sledding.

Don't you mean ''10,000 lakes''?

'1000 Islands' is on the St. Lawrence, up by Martin (Ontario).

Sometimes Georgian Bay, an arm of L. Superior, is referred to as "The other 1000 Islands", it's really beautiful country. It's not really any colder
there in the summer than Lake Michigan where Katy sails, just "shorter", (the summer that is).

Cheers
