I thought Kerry did an over all better job, because he at least had
something
concrete to say. Bush kept repeating the same thing over and over. "It's
hard
work." I mean come on! The only specific honest disagreement they had that
Bush seemed to be able articulate was over N. Korea. Bush thinks a 1-1
dialog won't work. Kerry thinks it will. Bush seemed nervous and
ill-prepared.
Kerry seemed a bit over-eager, but that he had done his homework. Kerry
seemed self-assured, but Bush seemed uncomfortable. He looked very small
behind his podium.

Kerry did repeat some phrases, but he didn't repeat something 21 times,
sort
of like a puppet on a string like Dubya. Squirm all you want, but it was
embarrassing to watch our president. I wouldn't
call "it's hard work" a pet phrase. It was because he had nothing of
substance to say.

It was embarrassing to watch both of them. Both reminded me of the
"talking"
dolls kids get. Pull the string and one of a fixed set of pre-programmed
sentences comes out.
