You think Hunters are better than Benetoes?
S I wouldn't own either. They are the botomm of the barrel Bill, I actually think Hunter is doing much better with quality these days, but you're right about Beneteau. They were among the first boats I was warned about. Donal's boat might be a better boat as it was built elsewhere. RB |
I imagine Yugos are better than they were a few years ago, as well. The
question is, "Better than what?" Better than the current crop from Beneteau and on par with what I saw from Catalina and Bavaria Yachts. The Hunter's like Horvath's were built badly, no doubt about it, but Hunter seems to have cleaned up their act somewhat. RB |

Will Thomas feel that his father's old "stepping stone" gives him any street cred? I can just picture the scene (in a few years): Thomas: "That's my dad's boat!" Schoolfriends: "Bwahahahaaa. It's an old wreck. It's only a stepping stone" Thomas: "My daddy says that it is better than a new Hunter.! Schoolfriends: "Bwahahahaaa." .......[Thomas runs home in tears] Regards Donalfish -- |
Bavaria Yachts, Nutsy?
Have you walked thru one of them without cracking you head? There is more headroom in most American 22 footers, than in their 35. Nutsy, you have taste for S--t Ole Thom |

At last!!
I've reduced Bob to silence! Sorry, Donal. I was sailing most of the day aboard a friend's J29. Now, what was that? RB |
