![]() "Capt. Mooron" wrote in message One son to look after her... it's a learning experience... he's coping as best he can.... he was unaware of the prior incident. Does the term "Compassion" or "Empathy" ring a bell? My father, now deceased, suffered a CVA (stroke) in the mid-90s. Following his recovery, he became somewhat disoriented and occasionally confused. I, like the woman's son, was doing my best to juggle a career, a family, and an ailing father living in a town some 25 miles distant. My ultimate choice was to place him in a retirement center. Eventually his condition exacerbated to the point that he had to be placed in a nursing facility. It was a tough decision, but perhaps one the woman's son will have to make sooner or later. Max |
