Probably not, but I wasn't the President. My pet goat seems like it rises to his level of an urgent national matter. Have you seen the film of him? He looked like a deer in the headlights. I saw F911, if that's what you're asking. Max |

That, I thought, was an overly simplistic view of a rather complex problem. It seems to me he has repeated his format with F911 and brought several valid points to light ..... doctored up with half truths and spam fed to liberal agendas. Nonetheless... I believe G.Bush Jr. should be removed from office for gross incompetence. Then again Kerry comes off as quite the goof as well! CM |

It seems to me he has repeated his format with F911 and brought several valid points to light ..... doctored up with half truths and spam fed to liberal agendas. I found it entertaining enough to hold my interest. I fully expected to get up and waltz out during the movie--not as a protest, but from boredom--but did not. I did, however, find that I had to question much of the contentions MM made. (As an aside, isn't it sad that Michael Moore is now known as MM, rather than that siren of the 50s, Marilyn Monroe. A pity.) So did some others watching the flick. And I, too, found his approach to complex issues simplistic in nature, as if things were truly black and white. But it was an amusing show. I especially liked the clips of Bush in his various activities. Max |

Posturing? I think a reasonable response would be excuse himself

![]() "Jonathan Ganz" wrote in message Posturing? I think a reasonable response would be excuse himself immediately. And still no one has yet given me a good reason for doing so. Please, I'd really like to know why it was important for him to leave the kiddies seven minutes early. At that point, the WTC had been hit twice and the Prez could only stand by and watch in horror as did the rest of us. Max |

I don't know about that one Max.... it was a national emergency...... no time to be reading to kids... even though it was only 7 minutes... it was 7 minutes too long to avoid his immediate responsibility to address his full attention to an attack on the nation he was in charge of. Totally unacceptable and I'm certain the kids could have done without his butchering of yet another plot line. Nope... he was dead wrong not to excuse himself immediatly.... everyone including the kids would have understood.... kinda like Nero and the fiddle while Rome burned! CM |

Your answer, while logical, was still conceptual. I'm still waiting for a bona fide reason for bailing on the kiddies. Yeah, the kids would have understood, but for many of them having the Prez read to them was something they'll remember all their lives. Max |

Conceptual... not in the remotest meaning of the word. Look Max... if you are the President and get told that a terrorist strike has occurred on mainland USA in a major metropolis! Do you really think that the first order priority would be to finish reading a children's book for the kids??!! That is way beyond incompetence..... that's total idiocy. Maybe 7 minutes didn't matter this time... it might next time.... the fact of the matter is he did not act on his immediate responsibilites... and that's the crux of it. He showed complacency then over-reacted. This is no leader... he is a puppet and has proven incapable of thinking for himself. He is viewed globally as a simpleton and ridiculed for it. How blind can his acolytes be??? It's simple... he was put in power by business [Bin Laden money as well] ....and now dances to their flute. CM |

And I suppose he should have jumped up, yelled, "Time's a wasting!" and run out of the room like a coked up cowboy out to shoot up the town? Pathetic Earthlings! No one can save you now! |
