Hello,
Could someone provide me with a link which would help me locate free or inexpensive locations to moor on an extended trip. I would like to sail from Maine to Florida around the Keys and over to Texas and keep costs as low as possible. Thanks, Kevin |

Skipper Bob books are the bible for finding places on the ICW and elsewhere.
For much of the Maine coast and MA I can advise you on a few possibilities. (I just spent 2 weeks in Casco Bay, mostly on moorings,) Are you looking for moorings ($20-$30) or would you prefer anchoring? Will you have a dink to get ashore; do you want to play tourist, etc? Are you traveling before or after Labor Day? http://skipperbob.home.att.net/publications.htm The guide books I've used give little info on moorings and anchorages - they focus mainly on marinas. Your best bet for areas not covered by Skipper Bob is "local knowledge." "No One" wrote in message ... Can't you read a chart and figure out where to anchor?
New flash: Anchoring is free! "No One" wrote Hello, Could someone provide me with a link which would help me locate free or inexpensive locations to moor on an extended trip. I would like to sail from Maine to Florida around the Keys and over to Texas and keep costs as low as possible. |
