I know only that to stay at the top of such a gruelling event as the Tour , against such strong, talented opposition for 6 years is, in the minds of most people, an unattainable outcome without assistance. The rumours have been there for many years as they have with Marion Jones and I believe that they will eventually be confirmed. It may be past the rumor stage as there is a trial ongoing, the verdict of which is expected this autumn. Dr. Michele Ferrari has been accused of recommending EPO (Erythropoeitin) to his clients, among them Armstrong. Both Greg LeMond and Andy Hampsten have made statements to the prevalence of doping in the poloton. http://www.eurosport.com/home/pages/...to613945.shtml http://www.tdfblog.com/2004/07/24/ http://www.cyclingplus.co.uk/forum/t...TOPIC_ID=33215 |

Born in Dallas and live there now. Have lived in Houston, San Antonio, Lubbock, Kermit, Austin, Taylor, Muleshoe, Dumas, and Duncanville, and am moving to Midland now. I have also lived in California (San Fransico, Long Beach and Los Angeles), Washington (Spokane), Ohio (Canton, Cleveland, and Akron), New Hampshire (Manchester), and Georgia (Atlanta). And just between us, Texas IS the best. I was born Ft Worth, lived in Benbrook, Azle, Springtown, Weatherford, Freeport and now El Lago. I was in CA for 4 years but lived aboard ship and kept my Texas addy, and lived one year in Marrietta GA. And you do not have to tell me Texas is the best, Ive been all over this earth and Texas is the number 1 port of call. If you ever get down to the coast stop by, we are just down the road from NASA. Looking forward to number 7. No one will ever break Lances records. Cept maybe another Texan. Joe |

I have lived a number of places in the US and had some extended visits
to other countries. I agree with Mark Twain "If I owned both Hell and Texas, I'd live in Hell and rent out Texas." -SLC Joe wrote: "jlrogers±³©" wrote in message . com... felton wrote: Smile when you say that, pardner:) Shucks, I was only half serious. If I owned Texas then I could probably afford to live there comfortably. And I certainly don't want to live any place where I might have to shovel snow more than twice a decade. ... Actually I take a "glass is half full approach". Whenever I find myself gushing over the beauty of the Pacific Northwest or New England, or, recently in Northern Italy I have to remind myself that growing up in West Texas I am easily impressed:) Well, I have somewhat the opposite problem. I grew up in rural North Carolina which was lovely (and still is, if you know where to look). But with the arrogance of youth I thought of it as the armpit of all Creation. Looking at what it is now, I wish I'd appreciated it more back then. But there are certainly a lot of beautiful places on this Earth! Did you visit Lake Garda? Regards- Doug King |
