I saw that interview, I believe Kerry did two things well he 1. he answered honestly and in a straightforward manner 2. he let the American people know how he feels about scare tactics one could reread the Q&A this way: King: do you think Ridge's report is a political ploy? Kerry: yes, I don't have time for it. I don't know who I'm voting for at this point, I'm learning more everyday and hope to make an educated decision before November. It's difficult when so much of the world spins reality for their own purposes. For me, the world isn't as black and white as the Liberalism-Conservatism debate that goes on here; I want to know more about Kerry. Quite frankly, I'm ambivalent regarding Bush's performance. I'll vote for the one who can convince me he is the best man. I don't give a damn what party he's with. Just because one serves the community, isn't enough to be considered patriotic. It's easy to claim that... "I was in the military, therefore, I'm patriotic." That's a load of crap. Calling someone unamerican is most definitely not patriotic, as it goes against everything that we hold as values. I don't have to prove my patriotism, and I don't ask anyone else to either. If you truly believe the above, Jon, I feel genuinely sorry for you. You've lived here all you life (I'm assuming) and are clueless as to what constitutes patriotism. I'd suggest a redux of basic American history, with emphasis on such names as Patrick Henry, George Washington, and such. Max |

I don't need counseling, I need more foot powder. It was the attack on Iraq that makes us less safe.
