"Jonathan Ganz" wrote: You say that Condi was amazed?? This is the National Security Advisor? Sounds like a bad choice on Bu****'s part. Time for her to go. No, I said, "I was amazed". Reading comprehension problems? I left my quote in at the bottom of this post. Reagan began arming the Afgans. He was fighting the cold war remember? Carter was mostly fighting the economy. One of the most closely guarded secrets of the Cold War was America's role in supporting the Afghan Islamist guerrillas known as the Mujaheddin. Most people think that America backed these fundamentalists in response to the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in December 1979. But that's not true. It was six months before the Soviet invasion - on 3 July 1979 - that US President Jimmy Carter authorized $500 million to help set up the Mujaheddin as a terrorist organization, including Osama bin Laden. I thought I read somewhere that you went to the university? Maybe your parents can take your post back to them and get a refund? :-) Get your facts straight or shut up. Bwawhaahwaaa! Now that is funny! What a faux pas...
