Well, that's the problem. It's easy to single out something that's
obvious. What if it's not quite so obvious? Then, you leave it
up to the cop to make a judgement call. Then, you have the
potential of an innocent person going to jail or worse. It's better
to free 10 guilty people that an innocent person should go to
jail. That's the American way. That's justice and equality.

It might feel good to beat someone to a pulp for stealing a
car, but it isn't what this country is about.
